NEET Dress Code: The authority sets a strict way to conduct the exam for dress in the NEET exam. The candidates preparing for NEET 2020 have to follow the new rules and regulations laid down by the NTA.
As you know, NEET is an eligibility test for medical candidates seeking admission to medical institutions across the country. Formerly known as AIPMT, NEET is a pen-paper test taken once a year by the NTA (National Testing Agency).
NEET 2020 was scheduled to be held on 3 May 2020, which will now be on 26th July 2020 due to Corona Pandemic. Year on year, the exam sees an increase in the number of candidates appearing for the prestigious exam, however, this time, the estimated count is around 16 lakhs.
To avoid any irregularity in the examination, candidates have to follow this rule. All candidates appearing in NEET 2020 should ensure adherence to these guidelines set by the authority. The exam will be held on 26 July 2020. The examination will be conducted once a year.

Dress Code for NEET-UG 2020
➡ Candidates appearing for NEET exam have to follow the dress code given by NTA, following are the rules of dress code:
➡ Candidates are required to wear light-colored, half sleeve dresses, long sleeves, large buttons in the dress, embroidery, fancy and large zips, badges are not allowed.
➡ Candidates will have to wear slippers – sandals with low heels, do not wear shoes.
➡ Candidates should not wear jewelry (such as chains, earrings, rings, nose pins, pendants, anklets, bangles, bracelets), etc.
Note: These specifications should be considered, failing to do so may lead to disqualification of candidature and hence will not be allowed to appear for the examination. If the candidate has worn customary attire, then he/she will have to report to the allotted examination center by 12:30 pm on the exam day.
NEET Dress Code for Male
Wear light-colored clothing such as jeans, pants, shirts (only half-sleeved) (do not wear anything that obstructs frisking and can be used to conceal any communication device). The shirt button should be of medium size and not large. Kurta pajamas are not allowed, shoes are also not allowed. Wear only sleepers or sandals.
NEET Dress Code for Female
Half-sleeved light clothes with no big buttons, salwar/trousers, slippers, brooch/badges with low heels, flowers, etc. are allowed. Shoes are also not allowed for female candidates.

Question: Can a Sikh student wear his traditional kara and kirpan in the exam hall?
Answer: Yes, traditional wear like kara and kirpan is allowed if you are a Sikh. But you have to report the exam center one hour prior to the invigilator.
Question: I am a Muslim girl, I wear hijab/burqa. Is that permissable?
Answer: Yes, if you have selected the customary dress during the application. Such candidates must reach one hour prior to the center and inform about the same to the invigilator.
Question: Can I wear churidar pajama/ leggings?
Answer: No. Only Trouser/Salwar/ are permissible.
Question: Is floral printed Kurti allowed?
Answer: No, it’s not allowed.
Question: Is legging/churidar allowed?
Answer: No, it is not allowed.
Question: Can I wear a bangle/bracelet/any Jewellery?
Answer: No. Any Jewellery and any Ornaments are not allowed.
Question: Can I wear jeans?
Answer: You may wear jeans, but they should not too fashionable. It should be simple.
Question: What happens if I fail to follow the dress code?
Answer: If you fail to follow the NEET dress code, as per NTA rules, the action shall be taken. You will not be permitted to attain the examination.
Question: I am diabetic, can I inter inside center with my medicine?
Answer: If you are diabetic, you would be permitted certain medicine under the provision.
Question: Can I take my water bottle?
Answer: No, you are not permitted to carry a water bottle.
